Pucker Up!

As you know, if you have read one of my previous post, that I attended a TrendWatch seminar at the market in July given by Michelle Lamb. A terrific new trend that she pointed out is the use of puckered fabrics in home fashions. Don't you love it?
Here is a sofa from TG Couture. I think it is great!

Look at this detailed view-

I just love the color too! I'm sure you probably already know pewter and platinum are hot alternatives to beige, browns, and other warm neutrals. This generously sized pillow from 18K in a pleated pucker style would look great on a streamlined sofa or as a pair on a bed.
It is available right here!

Beverage Dispenser for Sweet Tea- The Real Hillbilly Heroin?

The Real Hillbilly Heroin- I read this characterization in a recent magazine article about my beloved beverage and couldn't help but laugh. Being a southern woman, sweet tea is expected to be offered to any guest who graces the door. It is pure southern culture that pours from the pitcher. I can't fathom eating fried chicken or peas and cornbread without a tall glass of the iced sweet stuff. Hmmm.... well, maybe it is addictive! I'll bet it would be even sweeter to serve it at the next gathering from one of these Metro Beverage Dispensers from Roost. Sweet tea anyone?

Will It Go Round In Circles?

Remember that song by Billy Preston? I may be dating myself but that's how it feels around here right now! "Will it go round in circles, Will it fly high like a bird up in the sky"

Between receiving new merchandise, scheduling shipments, and school starting, we are running in circles around here - with no complaints though. Wouldn't want it any other way! The photo is of our new stitch circle vases that are just in and are just a click away- right here!

Transitional Home Decor

I wrote and submitted an article about transitional home decor last week and it was accepted and published on ezine articles.

Paula Lofton, EzineArticles.com Basic Author

Here is the summary:

It is important to be selective in choosing accessories for your transitional room since there aren't as many used. You will want to select something that can handle all of the attention that will be received. more

I do hope you can take a quick moment to read the article and rank it on the ezine link. You just have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the article and mark the stars. I do hope you are pleased!

"Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun."
Charles Swindoll

Looking up in the palace! My friend and I had a blast walking around Caesar's Palace last week! You never know who you might run into when walking through the The Forum Shops... I literally almost bumped into the comedian David Brenner! and then I looked silly because I just pointed at him and muttered "You're You're" as he continued on his way.

Trends: Let it Shine! Let it Shine! Let it Shine!

In my previous post, I told you at the market there was a lot of metallic to be found. As a matter of fact, I attended a standing room only seminar taught by Michelle Lamb and she proclaimed that metallics are the new neutrals. Gold, pewter, platinum and copper were all included in her Razzle Dazzle Metallics Segment. We saw beautiful sofas with gold threads running through the fabric, lots of furniture with a metallic finish - like this small occasional table from Bailey Street and of course I just fell in love with these beautiful modern silver vases.

Sunday

Home again, home again, market is done!

The Las Vegas Market was terrific! Here is a shot of Hot Rod on stage in celebration of the opening of Building C. Seeing him with all of his glitz (he wore a silver jacket and gold shoes!) was a foreshadowing of what we were to see in the showrooms - as shimmering metallics were everywhere! The concert was in a tent like structure – thankfully air conditioned because it was 107 degrees outside! The tent was huge- at least the size of a football field and there were sofas and tables set up for lounging near the entrance. They offered a sack dinner and bars were set up everywhere you looked for a little liquid refreshment. It doesn’t get much better than this- a great Rod Stewart concert, dinner and drinks! - Thanks
Las Vegas Market and Serta!
