White is Alright
Are you tired of seeing white this winter ? Too much snow? Well - maybe this can take your mind off of it....
This arrangement was inspired by Ken Marten who has me enthralled at the moment!

Origami Tulips for my Valentine
Tulips are one of my favorite flowers, but the down side is they don't seem to last long enough for me! So when I saw this video on ehow providing instructions for creating origami tulips, I just had to give it a try.
It was so easy! After creating a few flowers I decided that I just had to create a Valentine arrangement. So, I wrapped florist wire with strips of fabric and then inserted them into this beautiful black glass vase with some cut branches from the yard. To add another dimension, I finished it off with a few pieces of white quilling paper.
If you've ever thought you might want to try your hand at origami - this flower is a very easy one to begin with! If you decide to try, please share your pics!

Whites of Winter
Do you love fresh flowers? I find them to be a breath of fresh air especially when the weather is drab outside. Using an abundance of one flower is my favorite arrangement.... Could it be because it is the easiest to pull off? Here is a simple elegant arrangement using white chrysanthemums.
What is your favorite winter white floral? Tulip, paperwhite, amaryllis, hyacinth?
Don't forget that white signifies a fresh start --- a New Year is just a few days away!

Modern,Transitional Floral for Christmas
As winter's cold is bearing down, I couldn't help but notice the last blooms surviving on my bougainvillea. I think it looks sweet against the backdrop of the snow white flocked Christmas tree. Don't you agree that it is an unexpected pleasure?
